The unique Bean Rock Lighthouse is located on a rock (The Rock of Kepetawa / Te Toka a Kapetawa) to the west of the entrance to the inner harbour at Auckland, New Zealand and south of North Head. The lighthouse dates to 1871 and consists of a 15 metre cast iron skeletal tower with a hexagonal wooden keeper's quarters above with a gallery at the top. The lighthouse was restored in 1985. Photos taken in April 2017.
