Podadera Lighthouse, Cartagena, Spain
The Podadera Lighthouse sits on a promontory on the west side of the entrance to the harbour at Cartagena, Spain. The lighthouse was built in 1866 but was deactivated in the 1890's when the Dique de la Navidad and Dique de la Curro were constructed. All that remains of the lighthouse is the rectangular building and the base of the tower which sat atop it. Tower and gallery were removed. In the photo taken in October 2016 the Podadera Lighthouse is the structure highest on the hillside.
