As I noted in my post about the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse, there is a wonderful display of Fresnel Lenses at that site. The most impressive is the original Cape Canaveral lens, a First Order Fresnel Lens that stands just over 16 feet high. This lens was originally installed in the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse in 1868 and was removed in 1993 when it was sent to the Ponce de Leon Lighthouse Museum for restoration and display. Photos taken in March 2011.
