The Pointe Venus Lighthouse is located on the northern tip of Tahiti in the Society Islands of French Polynesia. It was built in 1868 and was restored in 1963. It is reported to have been built by Thomas Stevenson, father of author Robert Louis Stevenson. My photo was taken during a trip to French Polynesia in 1991.
