Cape Spear Lighthouses, Cape Spear, Newfoundland

There are two lighthouses at Cape Spear, Newfoundland. Cape Spear, near the Newfoundland capital of St. John's, is the most Easterly point in Canada. The old lighthouse (left) became operational in 1836 and continued in operation until 1955 when the new lighthouse (right) was put into commission. My photos were taken in 1998.

  1. Wonderful photos. It is amazing how many you have seen in good weather. Thank you again for this very generous sharing. I think you could and should author your own book.

  2. Thanks for the positive comment. I just like sharing my hobby with others. I am glad you are enjoying my blog.
