There are two lighthouses at Cape Spear, Newfoundland. Cape Spear, near the Newfoundland capital of St. John's, is the most Easterly point in Canada. The old lighthouse (left) became operational in 1836 and continued in operation until 1955 when the new lighthouse (right) was put into commission. My photos were taken in 1998.
