Although there was an actual lighthouse in Grande-Anse, New Brunswick in the early 1900's, the current building is only a faux lighthouse. It sits on a bluff in the village of Grande-Anse on the South side of Chaleur Bay. The current building functions as a tourist information centre for the area. It was constructed sometime in the 1990's and in 2001 was painted the colours of the Acadian flag. Photos taken in October 2017.

Faux lighthouses...still charming and yet in almost all realms in life one can say with a fair amount of certainty that there is nothing like the real thing.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays to you. We have been feeding birds above our deck and the variety and numbers of visitors has been a lovely addition to the visual delights that lift us up.
Thanks Jeannette... Have a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2018. May your life be filled with nothing but good things.
