Georges Island Lighthouse, Halifax, Nova Scotia




Located on Georges Island in the Halifax Harbour, this light was built in 1919. Georges Island is near the Halifax Cruise Ship Terminal and the Halifax Harbour Walk. Photos taken in Sept. 2009.

  1. We are taking a cruise from New York to Quebec City this fall with stops in Nova Scotia. I am hoping to be able to photograph this lighthouse then. Thanks for the information and thanks for stopping by my Lighthouse Musings blog.

  2. When you dock at the cruise ship terminal in Halifax the lighthouse is directly across the way. And if you have a chance get to Peggy's Cove and the light there, I am sure they have day trips from the ship. Cheers
