This lantern house was originally installed on the Trial Island Lighthouse, four miles SE of Victoria, British Columbia on November 16, 1908. The apparatus was replaced by an acrylic lens in 1970. The lamp is a Fourth order Fresnel lens and when in operation was visible for fifteen miles. It is currently displayed outside of the Maritime Museum of British Columbia in Bastion Square, downtown Victoria, B.C. Photos taken in January 2011.

Portlock Point Lighthouse, Prevost Island, B.C.
The Portlock Point Lighthouse is located on the Eastern end of Prevost Island in the Gulf Islands of Southern British Columbia. The station was established in 1896 and was automated and destaffed in 1969. It can be seen from the British Columbia Ferrys on the Tsawwassen (Vancouver) to Swartz Bay (Victoria) route as well as several Gulf Island routes. These photos were taken in January 2011.
