Nakalele Light, Maui, Hawaii



The minor light of Nakalele is located at the most North West point on the island of Maui, Hawaii. It is found along the coastal highway in the Honokohau area which is North East of Kapalua.  A light was originally established here in 1908. Photos taken in October 2012.

    Hi Neal - lucky you, in Hawaii!! You'd have thought their lights would be a bit more colourful though!

      Yes, the lights on Maui are pretty basic. There are better ones on Kauai and Oahu. Cheers and the best of the season to you Peter. Neal

    There is much blue color variation and beauty in your photos around these funny lights. The extreme functionality of these lights highlights the beauty and personality of the lighthouses around the world.
