I only have been able to get distant photos from the shore when I have visited St. John's. My daughter lives in Grand Bay/Westfield so I visit the area occasionally. I never knew this light existed! My Grandfather was the lighthouse keeper on partridge Island. I have always wanted to clean the Island up and reapair the cemetary which is in a very sorry condition. It is a strong part of our heritage. I live in the USA as this is where my work has brought me, but, someday I want to make that my last and BEST project!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13170544720937777942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4192270932488278916.post-41807117753745739822015-11-10T18:45:42.391-08:002015-11-10T18:45:42.391-08:00I have in my write up quoted the plaque at the lig...I have in my write up quoted the plaque at the light which indicated "restoration" in 1967. There are only red panels now. The lamps would be more correctly be described as having been "changed", "fixed up", or "altered". <br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4192270932488278916.post-84600559355747860702013-02-08T10:19:57.584-08:002013-02-08T10:19:57.584-08:00Thanks Amber, Cheers, NealThanks Amber, Cheers, NealNealhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10062485132765236251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4192270932488278916.post-1544523013317812682013-01-29T17:42:01.804-08:002013-01-29T17:42:01.804-08:00The lamp post was restored again starting at the e...The lamp post was restored again starting at the end of 2008 and completed early in 2009 Amber Gallantnoreply@blogger.com
